Head of the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ivan Kubrakov, said that employees were tasked with preventing provocations before the elections to be held in the country in 2024. Kurbakov’s words are quoted as follows: TASS.
“We cannot allow provocations and the slightest destabilization of the situation in the country. We must be prepared to act in special circumstances. “This is not just conducting exercises and training, but also providing the necessary equipment to every employee and military personnel, as well as high-quality equipment to the troops,” Kurbakov said.
According to him, all leaders must ensure executive discipline during the election period. He also noted his extensive experience in running various election campaigns. Kubrakov called for increased operational positions and attention to crime prevention.
First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yuri Nazarenko said that the ministry has been preparing for the elections for the last two years. He said additional patrol units and emergency response teams will be created during the elections.
Elections in Belarus will be held on February 25, 2024. According to the voting results, 110 deputies of the GNAT House of Representatives and approximately 12.5 thousand deputies of local assemblies will be elected.
