This is a typical political move aimed at obscuring the truth – in an interview with PAP, Jacek Ozdoba, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, assessed the possibility that the Sejm would dismiss members of the commission for investigating Russian influence on the security of Poland. According to PiS MP Radosław Fogel, this is “knocking out the teeth of the committee”.
On Wednesday, the Sejm will vote on the dismissal of members of the State Commission for investigating Russian influence on the internal security of the Republic of Poland in the period 2007-2022. In accordance with the law establishing the commission, its members are appointed and dismissed by the Sejm.

Prophecy facts in the series “Reset”
According to Jacek Ozdoba, firing the committee members will be a “typical political step intended to obscure the truth.”
There is no disputing the documents presented by Professor Sławomir Cenckiewicz or editor Michał Rachoń (creators of the “Reset” series).
– added the minister.
As he noted, the Polish television series, which concerned ties with the Russian Federation, was not the reason for the creation of the commission, but could use the documents presented therein. According to Ozdoba, these documents are “proof in the light of public opinion that there was a pro-Russian government.”
What else would this committee dig up? Only God knows what Donald Tusk did when he was Prime Minister
– said Ozdoba.
PiS MP Radosław Fogiel accused the current majority of failing to address citizens’ real problems.
Either you can work for the Poles from the beginning of your term of office, or you can work to protect your own interests and those of your colleagues
– he assessed.
An attempt to knock the teeth out of the committee investigating Russian influence, because that is what firing its members means, should be read this way
– added.
Declassified documents from the time of Donald Tusk’s government raise many questions when it comes to the PO-PSL government’s policy towards Russia
– said Fogiel.
We have a war on our eastern border, a situation in which imperialist Russia is waging a war in Ukraine. We know that in many European countries (Russia) his influence was used. We have many cases from our immediate environment: Germany. It would seem that investigating whether such influence has occurred in Poland in recent years is in the interest of the entire political class, but this is not the case. Donald Tusk orders the majority he controls to put an end to such actions, as it can be assumed that new ones will not be appointed quickly after the resignation of the committee members. The idea is to prevent the committee from taking action
— – emphasized the PiS MP.
The resignation of the members of the Committee on Russian Influence was announced last Tuesday by the head of the PO, Donald Tusk.
We will also have to deal with the committee once called “lex Tusk”. We will reject the composition of this committee on (next) Tuesday during the next part of the first session of the Sejm and later we will reflect on the future of this committee’s work.
– announced the politician.
Absurd theories
He said the committee tasked with investigating Russian influence had “openly violated constitutional rights and was the subject of emotion and criticism.”
In Poland, half a million people took to the streets when this sick idea became a reality about how to eliminate political competition through this kind of games and fun.
– Tusk pointed out.
The PO leader also explained why this committee will not be liquidated.
Because it would require a law, and you probably share my view that in several cases, including this one, we cannot rely too much on the President’s enthusiastic and friendly cooperation. Therefore, we will make a decision that is within the competence of this House – we will reject the composition of this committee by means of a resolution.
– Tusk announced.
On August 31, during its last session, the Sejm of the 9th term appointed 9 members of the commission to investigate Russian influence on the internal security of the Republic of Poland in the years 2007-2022. They were all nominated by PiS, the opposition presented no candidates and did not participate in the vote.
Members of the committee were appointed: Director of the Military Historical Bureau, Sławomir Cenckiewicz, Advisor to the President, Prof. Andrzej Zybertowicz, Chairman of the Security and Defense Council of the President of the Republic of Poland, Prof. Przemysław Żurawski vel Grajewski and Łukasz Ciegotura, Michał Wojnowski, Józef Brynkus, Marek Szymaniak, Arkadiusz Puławski and Andrzej Kowalski.
