American Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed the possibility of a peace agreement between the two states in his meetings with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The press service reports that Ministry of Foreign Affairs UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
“The parties discussed US support for efforts to reach a permanent peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” the press release states.
Blinken pledged long-term U.S. support for Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and outlined efforts to expand bilateral partnerships with the republic. He also expressed his gratitude to Aliyev for his readiness to sign a peace agreement between the two sides.
Before that, Pashinyan during the opening of the autumn session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Yerevan statedIt was stated that Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed on the basic principles of the peace agreement regarding the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh.
