I think it mainly serves as a smokescreen to further introduce the conflict in Poland; today I heard about six planned commissions, so tomorrow we may hear about sixteen – said the head of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Piotr Gliński, on TVP Info, referring to the investigative commissions announced by KO.
On Wednesday, the Civic Coalition submitted three draft resolutions to the Chairman of the Sejm on the creation of parliamentary investigative committees: on the so-called visa scandal, Pegasus and the so-called Envelope Elections 2020. The drafts appeared on the parliamentary websites on Thursday; received form numbers and were submitted to the first reading during the Sejm session. Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia said on Thursday that the first reading of these bills is scheduled for Tuesday during the Sejm session.
Will the opposition appoint as many as six investigative committees?
Sunday morning on TVN24, Barbara Nowacka (KO) said that these three committees “go first.”
These are not the only committees of inquiry that we will appoint, as there will be at least three more such committees
– she said. When asked whether there would be six committees, she confirmed this. When asked what the next three would be about, she replied that “the time will come.”
There are also topics about the ventilator scandal and how Mateusz Morawiecki’s government functioned during the pandemic.
– said Nowacka.

“Smokescreen”
Piotr Gliński, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, commented on the announcement of the establishment of investigative committees on Sunday evening.
Today I heard about six, so tomorrow we might hear as many as sixteen
– he said. According to Gliński, “it mainly serves as a smokescreen,” “to further introduce conflict in Poland, and a conflict that is rare in a democracy.”
As he said: “in politics and democracy, the fact that there is a disagreement or even a conflict is the nature of political affairs, but if this conflict is currently based on vulgarity – because the Polish opposition in recent years has simply The terms vulgar, i.e. it has changed even more or lowered the level of political culture in Poland even further – it is difficult to have a discussion, it is difficult to have a debate,” he said.
Some celebrities openly said that they were not interested in the debate, that they were not interested in any Christian or non-Christian dialogue, but – and here there are insults all the time. Such public life can only weaken Poland
– he assessed.
That is why we still stubbornly talk about the Coalition for Polish Affairs, or about very broad program proposals.
– added.
