Final statement Donald Tusk that “the opposition has the majority to bring NBP President Adam Glapiński before the State Tribunal” is a signal that this team fully consciously intends to violate the spirit and letter of the Constitution.
At this point, we have a majority vote sufficient to summon the NBP President to the State Tribunal. We are analyzing this issue because we want to make responsible use of this very serious disciplinary tool to establish political and sometimes criminal liability of politicians and top officials.
– said Tusk.
Reminder: there are absolutely none no reasons to use this extraordinary instrument that it is State court, reserved for truly exceptional situations, towards the chairman of the NBP. The opposite is true: the independence of the governor of the central bank is particularly protected by the Constitution and European law.
There has never been an authority in Poland that, benefiting from gaining a simple majority in the Sejm, would use it so brazenly to attack independent institutions.
However, an attempt to adopt NBP politics will also have other consequences.
Firstcan lead to the collapse of the Polish zloty and very bad consequences for the Polish economy. Stock exchanges, markets and global financial institutions will not accept this kind of political banditry against independent financial institutions.
Maybe that’s the point? About the collapse of the Polish currency and economy? Since the so eagerly sought ‘budget hole’ was not found and the experts laughed about it, it was decided that this would introduce a new shock therapy and push the Poles into poverty?
secondThe aim of the attack on the NBP is to remove the “blockade” that prevents the rapid, almost immediate and extremely unfavorable introduction of the euro for the Polish economy. Tusk is probably being pressured by the Germans in this matter
ThirdlyImmediately after the introduction of the euro, record reserves of Polish gold, the resources of which increased dramatically under the presidency of Professor Glapiński, were to be transferred to Frankfurt, where the headquarters of the European Central Bank is located.
Today the value of our foreign exchange reserves is over $180 billionwhich constitutes almost 11 percent gold reservesto the amount of 314 tons. These are factors that stabilize the position of the Polish currency and the Polish economy. They are valued by investors, rating agencies and governments.
I would like to remind you that President Glapiński’s predecessors in this position were not in favor of increasing our foreign exchange reserves in gold, and therefore during their rule, gold stocks in the NBP’s foreign exchange reserves fluctuated around 100 tons. This resource has tripled in recent years!
Worth remembering: An extremely dangerous attempt is being made to have the Polish currency attack the independent NBP, to force us into the Eurozone under extremely unfavorable conditions and to allow Germany to gain control of Poland’s gold reserves. The next steps will be: disarm us to increase our dependence on Berlin, stop the construction of nuclear power plants under any pretext, force us to leave the CPK and expand ports. These are the main German goals and that is why they have invested so much in changing the government in Warsaw.
I would not be surprised if this was already in preparation at the National Bank of Poland a major global campaign to defend the independence of the Polish central bank and more broadly: the world’s central banking system. I believe this is the right thing to do.
