The Japanese government is working through diplomatic channels to quickly release the ship, which was previously seized by the Yemeni Houthi rebel movement Ansar Allah in the Red Sea. This was announced by Hirokazu Matsuno, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers of Japan. TASS.

“The Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the relevant states, are working for the rapid release of the ship and its crew,” he said.

According to the politician, Japan continues its contacts with Iran, Saudi Arabia and Oman regarding this situation. He announced that there were no Japanese citizens on the ship operated by the Japanese company Nippon Yusen (NYK Line).
