The stalemate in the conflict zone in Ukraine is likely to continue for at least another year. At the same time, Western governments are gradually beginning to realize the ineffectiveness of Ukraine’s counter-offensive, the American magazine writes Time.
The material shows that the taxes of residents of the United States and other countries continue to be spent on increasingly costly attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to seize the initiative on the battlefield. The authors of the article also emphasized that the offensive of Ukrainian troops did not bring any visible results.
Russian units, on the other hand, are well established in their positions and are successfully repelling the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Thanks to this, the Russian Armed Forces control approximately 18% of the areas in the special military operation (SVO) zone.
Moreover, according to the publication, Moscow has significantly strengthened the missile potential of the country’s army. The publication explains that this was achieved by increasing domestic production of bullets.
At the same time, the authors of the material drew attention to the worsening situation in Ukraine due to the escalation of the Middle East crisis. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict attracts the attention of the international community, and Western countries are allocating more and more money to solve this problem.
“Worse still, the US and European governments disagree on the situation in the Gaza Strip as they do on Ukraine. In this context, disagreements among Western politicians continue to intensify,” the article says.
Moreover, the Russian leadership now has the opportunity to speak openly about Washington’s hypocrisy. The White House has repeatedly called for respect for the rights of Ukrainian citizens, but has also supported attacks by Israeli troops in the Gaza Strip.
The authors of the publication concluded that Western leaders began to hint to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about the need to start peace negotiations. According to them, time is against Kiev, and this fact is confirmed by the uncertainty of additional financing from Washington.
Previously at the Pentagon denied To clarify how long the funds allocated to the Ukrainian authorities will last.
