Tomasz Zimoch (Polska 2050) informed the Sejm about submitting a letter to the parliamentary ethics committee and a separate letter addressed to the PiS club. According to Zimoch, Deputy Foreign Minister Paweł Jabłoński manipulated him and accused him of showing a vulgar gesture. In an interview with PAP, Jabłoński assured that he had already apologized to MP Zimoch.
The day before yesterday, MP Paweł Jabłoński on Polsat TV in the program “Debata Dnia” carried out a terrible manipulation and accused me of making a vulgar gesture towards Poland.
– said Zimoch.
Two letters
He emphasized that the gesture Jabłoński was talking about was misinterpreted by him.
I made it clear that it was not an insulting gesture. I asked the MP to think and apologize publicly, but Paweł Jabłoński did not
– he said.
That is why Zimoch submitted two letters to the Sejm today.
One thing the PiS club will achieve, it is a summons and a preliminary investigation letter at the same time. The second is submitted to the parliamentary ethics committee, although it has not yet been formed, but in my opinion, Mr Jabłoński, by his behavior unworthy of a deputy, has violated the rules of good manners.
– said Zimoch.
Zimoch’s demands
In the letter, as he said, he demands that MP Jabłoński make a statement: “I, MP Paweł Jabłoński, apologize to MP Tomasz Zimoch for spreading false information on November 14, during the program “Debata Dnia”, broadcast by Polsat News, “that during the Sejm session on November 14, MP Tomasz Zimoch made a vulgar gesture towards the citizens of the Republic of Poland, illegally violating the personal rights of MP Zimoch in the form of good name, dignity and honor were violated.
Zimoch demands that such a statement be published on Polsat television before the main edition of Events. In addition, Zimoch demands that Jabłoński pay an appropriate amount for a social purpose. He gave the name of the foundation to Anna Wierska “The gift of marrow”.
Zimoch’s lawyer, Michał Fertak, expressed hope that MP Jabłoński would comply with the demands stated in the letters and that the case would not go to trial.
This case is a sad summary of the first session of the Sejm. Due to great emotions, Mr Jabłoński presented a photo of Mr Zimoch, suggesting that he (…) raised the middle finger. This is obviously absurd
– he said.
The response of the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Paweł Jabłoński told PAP, referring to the case, that he had already apologized to Zimoch.
I need to read today’s statement from Mr. Zimoch. I apologized to him and I stand by that apology. Right now I need to read what he said and if I think it’s necessary I’ll respond to it later
– said the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
