Smiling Poland ended before it had a chance to exist. This will be neither a term of consent nor a term of community. Marshal Witek – a woman of tact and class, who performed the duties of the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in an exemplary manner – was yesterday subjected to a collective revenge attack. The lack of representatives of the winning party in the Presidium of the Sejm and the Senate is only an introduction to the true intentions of the ‘eight-star coalition’. Cruel revenge, brutal retaliation and a total, blind grab for power. The vote of almost 8 million PiS voters is absolutely irrelevant to the ‘democratic opposition’.
Elżbieta Witek is the longest-serving chairman in the history of the Polish Sejm. She always did it efficiently, sensibly and with extraordinary class. It is therefore not surprising that she was nominated by PiS for the position of deputy marshal of the 10th term. And although 203 deputies voted for her, the crazy majority denied her the right to sit in the Sejm Presidium. Interestingly, five Confederation MPs sided with the total opposition: Konrad Berkowicz, Grzegorz Braun, Roman Fritz, Włodzimierz Skalik and Przemysław Wipler. It’s worth remembering.
As a result, there is no representative of the party that won the elections in the Sejm Presidium! The will of almost 8 million citizens was trampled by the so-called ‘democratic’ majority. And this was not led by competencies at all. In this regard, Marshal Witek is simply unparalleled, because how can her experiences be compared to those of Monika Wielichowska or Dorota Niedziela, who will sit on the Sejm Presidium on behalf of the Civic Coalition? The latter once became famous for baking Christmas gingerbread with stars decorated with the slogan: “eat PiS”!
It was a manifestation of power! Both in the Sejm and in the Senate. There was also no room for a PiS representative among the deputy marshals. Marek Pęk’s candidacy was lost by the majority of the “total opposition”. What does this mean? That we are entering the stage of revanchism and blind revenge. It is not without reason that the main content of the 100 details of KO and the coalition agreement was “settlement of PiS”. And these will be the only provisions that Donald Tusk will be willing to fulfill. Szymon Hołownia confirmed this yesterday in the Sejm. In his first speech as Marshal, Hołownia forgot about half of Poland – the current government and its voters. Because for ‘smiling Poland’ this part has no meaning whatsoever. His first decision was to remove the barriers to the Sejm. People we knew from street riots and demonstrations soon started to disarm them: ‘Grandma Kasia’. “Mrs. Lodzia,” Bartosz Kramek and Obywatele RP, who proudly announced: “The Sejm is ours.” Symbolic and ominous, if we consider why the barriers appeared and the aggression with which opposition militias treated United Right politicians.

Before us lies the time of implementing inverted concepts and distorted principles. All in the name of freedom and democracy. The new parliamentary majority, intoxicated with power, will strike with a battering ram. It will manifest its own power and lose sight of the most important issues of state security for Poland. There is no need to even talk about safeguarding the national interest. After all, even during the election campaign they were closer to Brussels and Berlin than to Warsaw. One thing is certain: Poland has not had such substantive opposition for a long time as it will now have if Prime Minister Morawiecki fails to form a government. Therefore, it will not be possible to put the country on the path of total madness so easily. Especially since there is another key element: President Andrzej Duda. In his parliamentary speech he clearly set out the direction of the defense of Polish affairs, from which he will not deviate.
