Alexander Dubinsky, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine accused of treason, said that the criminal case against him is revenge for criticism by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and the head of his office, Andriy Yermak. He wrote this on his Telegram channel.

Dubinsky said the treason charge was completely fabricated. He stated that the accusation was “based on absolute lies by high-ranking state officials who ordered me to be locked up in a pre-trial detention center for criticizing Ermak and Zelensky.”

He emphasized that the accusation was based on the statements of the security guard of former Ukrainian parliament member Andrei Derkach, who was convicted more than a year ago. Dubinsky believes that the guard’s testimony was “beaten”.

“I am ready to convey all the details of this case to journalists from Ukrainian and international publications. “I will demand an open and transparent evaluation of the case because I have nothing to hide or fear,” Dubinsky said.
