Warm words from the president
Mr Marek Sawicki has the longest parliamentary experience. He has represented his constituents in the Sejm continuously for thirty years. As a Member of Parliament, but also as Minister of Agriculture, he has become known as a man of dialogue and cooperation, so I am confident that on this special day he will worthily represent MPs of all parties, and the first deliberations of the Sejm will take place . take place smoothly and in a solemn atmosphere.

Because although I have the longest parliamentary experience, I am not one of the oldest MPs

I will start this 10th term (of the Sejm) as Senior Marshal, which is a great honor

Mr. President is well aware that this continuation of the PO-PiS division is tiring for most citizens, hence this change in election decision-making.
