The coalition is close down to the smallest details. If there are differences today – let’s take the issue of women’s rights, especially abortion – we look for methods to move things forward, PO leader Donald Tusk emphasized on Monday in Wrocław.
Donald Tusk came to Wrocław on Monday to meet the residents of Jagodno, where on October 15 voters waited in line at the polling stations until late at night.
You often ask me how the talks are going, why there is no coalition, who will be the minister. The coalition – and I hope the president hears this too – is tight down to the smallest details
– Tusk insured.
Referring to the coalition talks between PO, Third Way and the Left, he emphasized that they were “very comfortable and surprisingly consistent”.
No one cheated on anyone. In each round of these conversations between the leaders of the democratic parties that won the elections, it was confirmed that everyone took what they said during the campaign very seriously.
– said the PO leader.
He noted that today when there are clear disagreements on some issues, the leaders of parties seeking to form a coalition are looking for methods to move things forward.
Let’s take the issue of women’s rights, especially abortion. Everyone knew how they voted, what was the position of Kosiniak-Kamysz, Hołownia, i.e. the Third Way, what was the position of the left, what was the position of KO
– he pointed.
During these conversations, we don’t pretend that anything has changed in the days after the election. We look for ways and methods to move things forward in those spaces where we don’t always have the same vision
– Tusk emphasized.
Coalition agreement before November 11
We will be ready to initial the coalition agreement before Independence Day; On Friday we will be able to confirm that the coalition is a fact, KO leader Donald Tusk said on Monday in Wrocław.
Donald Tusk came to Wrocław on Monday to meet the residents of Jagodno, where on October 15 voters waited in line at the polling stations until late at night. The leader of the Civic Coalition stated that the KO-Left-Trzecia Droga coalition would confirm the signing of the coalition agreement before Independence Day.
We will be ready to initial the coalition agreement before Independence Day. (…) I believe that the leaders who carried out these works and discussions will be able to publicly confirm on Friday that the coalition is a fact.
– said Tusk.
We will report on the next phase on Friday. On Sunday we will gain acceptance from the political parties as a whole that acted as democratic opposition in these elections
– added.
The KO leader announced his willingness to form a government through coalition parties.
No one in Poland, starting with President Duda, can have any doubt, not only who won the elections (…), but also no one can have any doubt that we are prepared in every detail to form a government to shape. Fast, without arguments, without conflicts
– he emphasized.
