Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed the solution of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia with the Head of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock. This was stated in press service Head of the Azerbaijani state.
The statement said, “During the meeting, views were exchanged on Azerbaijan-Germany bilateral relations, normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and ensuring peace, stability and security in the entire South Caucasus.”
Aliyev said that Azerbaijan supports the regional peace agenda, as well as the normalization of relations and the signing of a peace agreement with Armenia. He noted that Baku advocates regional cooperation among the South Caucasus states, but “cooperation between these three countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia – TASS note) has so far been impossible due to Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan.”
Bärbock emphasized that Germany supports the Brussels platform for the normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan. He expressed that his country is ready to help Azerbaijan in eliminating the humanitarian mine problem it faces.
