Will Donald Tusk and the possible new government have to foot the bill for the KPO? WEI’s Tomasz Wróblewski talks about the European Commission’s long-term support for the KO camp.
The President of the Warsaw Enterprise Institute was a guest on the program “Didaskalia” on YouTube.
Tomasz Wróblewski argued that the European Commission supported the formation of Donald Tusk.
Let us not forget that the European Commission supported the Citizens’ Coalition for eight years. Even when these milestones proposed by PiS appeared and it seemed that nothing would prevent Poland from receiving this money, there were still arguments against them. What is seen quite politically even within the European Union itself is that the intention was to support the opposition at the time
– he said.
Account payable
According to the journalist, the government led by the Civic Coalition will have to foot the bill for the EC’s current support for this formation.
Now you’ll have to pay that bill. I think Donald Tusk will have to pay for it by delivering most of the important projects. I am not saying them all because the twelve points presented as a draft by the parliamentary committee on the Constitution are only a draft. This will be subject to negotiation, and Germany does not agree with much of it. It is not so obvious that they will succeed. There will be room for negotiations, but some of them are very important and of the utmost importance for the EU, for the EC, and certainly for Berlin and Paris. And here I think Donald Tusk will have to resign
– said Wróblewski.
