As long as President Andrzej Duda holds the office of President of the Republic of Poland, no social program will be liquidated or taken away – said Łukasz Rzepecki, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, in the Super Express program “Debate on Poland” on Sunday .
When Rzepecki was asked in the program which of the candidates for prime minister – Mateusz Morawiecki or Donald Tusk – would advise the president to entrust him with the task of forming a government, Rzepecki replied:
This is too responsible a task for me to advise the President on this matter. The president will make the right decision at the right time
– added.
The timing is right for this moment. Discussions and this first consultation took place with all groups that had their representatives in parliament. These do not have to be the last consultations. Presidential Palace, President Andrzej Duda is open to further talks. If doubts arise, if there are issues that need to be discussed and the formations want to do so, the president is ready to discuss further.
– noted the President’s adviser.
He recalled that the date of the first session of the Sejm has been set, which will take place on November 13.
The earliest possible constitutional date, and only time will tell who will be designated as the candidate to form the government
– added.
He assessed that we are dealing with a ‘specific situation, in which the current ruling party – Law and Justice – has won the elections, obtained the largest number of votes and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced during a meeting with the President that he is willing to form a coalition. government, and on the other hand we have groups that came in second, third and fourth place and also indicated that they had their own candidate and that candidate was President Donald Tusk.
Who will have the majority? This will be decided by parliamentarians in the Sejm
– Rzepecki noted.
Referring to the statements of opposition politicians who said in the program that the budget must be verified and state finances must be audited, Rzepecki said:
I fear that these words are a prelude to preparing public opinion and voters for the liquidation of social programs.
He assured during the program that “as long as President Andrzej Duda holds the office of President of the Republic of Poland, no social program will be liquidated or taken away.”
We will not allow this
– he emphasized.
