The opposition is in a hurry to come to power. This is a cop-out, because they have already had arguments about farmers, abortion and other issues. They are afraid that the leaders will soon fight at the conference – Radosław Fogiel (PiS) said in Polsat News on Sunday.
Fogiel: It’s a breakaway forward
Radosław Fogiel emphasized that the opposition was in a hurry to come to power.
There is a Constitution, which you apparently respect so much that it very simply lays down the steps in which the government is formed
– noted the PiS MP.
In his opinion, “this is a breakaway forward, because they have already had arguments about farmers, abortion and other issues.”
They are afraid that the leaders (of the opposition) will fight at the conference later
– he said.
Kierwiński: PiS has no chance of building a majority
According to KO MP Marcin Kierwiński, the statement that the president does not know who has the majority is really frivolous.
PiS has no chance of building a parliamentary majority. The president must rise above party differences, free himself from short contacts with PiS politicians and respect the will of the voters.
– said Kierwiński.
When asked about the opposition clubs’ coalition agreement, he emphasized:
If Prime Minister Donald Tusk is given the task of forming a new government, he will quickly nominate candidates for ministers.
Deputy Chairman of the Sejm Piotr Zgorzelski (PSL) assured on Polsat News that “the candidate of all three coalition parties is Donald Tusk.”
No one will argue with the democratic parties. The program discussions are ongoing and, in my opinion, will soon end with a coalition agreement
– he said.
Minister of the Chancellery of the President Małgorzata Paprocka said Andrzej Duda “emphasized that presidents have not had to deal with such a situation as we are having now for years.”
We have the party that won the elections, namely PiS, with the declaration that it has the majority to appoint a government, and there will be three electoral commissions, operating separately: KO, Trzecia Droga and Lewica, and which will select the candidate for the premiership to the president with the same statement that they also have the majority
– she noted.
The president says: “after what I heard, I have to think calmly and I will make a decision within the constitutional period.”
– she emphasized.
We have a constitutional term of office of the Sejm until November 12
– recalled Paprocka.
As she added, “any insinuations that we are dealing with time theft are just innuendo.”
Scheuring-Wielgus: PiS MPs want to come to us
Left MP Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus was asked about the words of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who announced in Brussels that PiS would try to reach an agreement with other parties.
We will try to convince them that we are right and collect at least 230 votes. With so much confidence, we have the will, the right as the winning camp and the obligation to try to form a government, if of course the President decides to entrust us with the mission of forming a government as a first step.
– said the Prime Minister.
According to Scheuring-Wielgus, “none of the MPs from the Left, KO or Third Way will form a government with Prime Minister Morawiecki.”
We know very well what lies behind the government of Law and Justice: lies, propaganda, money theft, many scandals. We don’t want anything to do with these people
– said the MP.
Let them admit how many PiS MPs who entered the Sejm for the first time are talking to us about joining us.
– she said when asked about the statements of PiS politicians who claim that they are talking to opposition politicians.
According to her, “these people don’t want to be on a sinking ship.” She also added that the opposition would not accept these PiS politicians.
The program also commented on the statement of Marcin Mastalerek, the new head of President Andrzej Duda’s cabinet, who stated that the president was right when he said that “2020 was the best time to lay the foundation for building the Coalition for Polish Affairs. ”
In July 2020, President Andrzej Duda, who was running for re-election, called on politicians including: PSL, the Polish Coalition and the Confederation to meet after the elections and talk about the most important issues. He added that he wanted to be the patron of a grand coalition of Polish issues that included family and traditional values.
MP Krzysztof Bosak (Confederation) said that “the president did not propose any coalition to the Confederation in 2020.”
It was something that was thrown on the internet, thrown into the media. No proposal was ever made concrete
– he emphasized.
