Tomasz Siemoniak assured that the KPO money has already been released for Poland. However, he emphasized that it was a “political” meaning. The former head of the Defense Ministry also claimed that Europe wanted to provide this money a long time ago, and that the Polish government is responsible for the lack of it.
A Civic Platform MP asked about Donald Tusk’s promise that he would arrange the release of KPO funds the day after the elections. He assured that the money would be released. He argued that Europe “wants” to pay Poland the funds it owes.
Money in a political sense is unlocked. I mean, there was a meeting, Europe wants to pay us this money
– he said.
Attack on the government
However, this is not the end of Siemoniak’s story. The former head of the Ministry of Defense also blamed the current government for the KPO’s lack of funds. He argued that this was not the fault of the EU bureaucrats.
Moreover, she wanted that if the previous government had not distorted these matters, had not committed fraud, had not signed milestones and then not adhered to them, this money would have been in Poland for a long time.
– he said.
