Piotr Wawrzyk, who was initially dismissed by the Prime Minister from the position of Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the so-called visa scandal, after a long period of absence from public life, posted a message on social media.
My mission to represent the Świętokrzyskie region in the Sejm of the Republic of Poland is slowly coming to an end. The events of the past few weeks have been and continue to be a difficult experience for me, not only as a politician but also as a human being. I am even more grateful for all the good words I have received in recent days, especially during my stay in the hospital
– he wrote on Facebook Piotr Wawrzyk, referring to his stay in the hospital after his discharge. The media reported that Wawrzyk had attempted suicide, and authorities found a suicide note in his apartment.

I would also like to thank you for your support during my work as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and during my term of office. Serving the Republic of Poland and the Świętokrzyskie region has always been and will continue to be an honor and an obligation for me
