Szijjártó gave an interview on local television and was asked to comment on the submission to the Turkish parliament of a protocol on Sweden’s admission to the North Atlantic Alliance.
“This does not change our situation. The Hungarian Parliament is the sovereign parliament of a sovereign country, so it will take a sovereign decision on this matter,” Szijjártó replied.
The politician reminded that the approval document was submitted to the Hungarian parliament in the summer of 2022.
