President Andrzej Duda invited the election committees to meetings, in the order consistent with the election results; The announced joint statement by the opposition does not change this matter, Presidential Minister Marcin Przydacz said on RMF FM.
Consultation with the president and a joint statement from the opposition
Consultations with representatives of individual electoral commissions that will be represented in the next Sejm will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday at the presidential palace.
When asked about the opposition’s joint statement announced on Tuesday morning, the head of the presidential Office for International Policy said he did not know what its subject would be. When asked if this could mean that the opposition would want to come to the meeting together, he recalled that the President had invited each committee separately.
The president invited each of the committees that participated in the elections, according to a clear key: from the party that won the most votes to the electoral committee that received the fewest votes. Each of them received an invitation. All of them are welcome for discussions in the presidential palace
– he assured.
And when they make public statements, we will all read them
– added.

“The president will decide who to appoint as prime minister.”
When asked about a possible candidate for prime minister and which party he would come from, he said the president is acting in accordance with the provisions of the constitution.
If the opposition is united, it will certainly be able to form a government. If not, a new government will be formed. (..) The most important thing is that such a government is formed, but on the basis of a parliamentary majority
– Przydacz said in a morning interview.
He recalled that the president had never publicly said who he would appoint as prime minister: a representative of one party and not the other. According to Przydacz, decisions on the appointment of a new prime minister will be made after talks in the following days and the Sejm’s constitution – when it is formed –.
The president decides who he appoints as prime minister. He has an absolutely free mandate to appoint him here
— recalled the constitutional principle.
