It is worth listening carefully to President Jarosław Kaczyński’s lecture at the meeting with Gazeta Polska Clubs. This is the first diagnosis of the election results, although made immediately for obvious reasons, and an attempt to answer the question of what to do next.
In my opinion, three topics are the most important.
First, the opposition (calculated in total) won with the language of emotions and hatred, and in a sense the year 2007 was repeated. Artificially generated emotions, and not a program or performance, determined the election outcome. The right must find a way to burst these information and aesthetic bubbles, and must also take into account that we are dealing with a Poland that is changing quite seriously – also as a result of its good governance. Although this last thread, in my opinion, requires a deeper discussion, because the ideological dispute is so acute that it is not clear how and where to go from here. You probably just have to look for a new language.
Second, very difficult times are ahead, when there may be a need for immediate, decisive action, exposing the defense of fundamental issues and exposing persecuted people to the consequences. It is good that these words have been said; we must all realize this clearly today. At this point, democracy will be in danger: in addition to the media, business, local government and judiciary authorities, the camp of the Third Polish Republic is adding governmental power. This gives him enormous control over reality in the absence of any serious counterbalance – apart from the president, if he wants to play this role.
Third, you need courage, coupled with wisdom and efficiency.
We must do all this in a military way, even in a Prussian way. That is, in a certain order. I know we can throw a lot of stones in our yard here, because this order was often missing from our formation. We have been fighting against this since the club’s first meeting, which will take place not so long ago – before the start of the Sejm session.
– emphasized President Jarosław Kaczyński.
I would basically summarize this course of action, which will likely be made more specific, into three “P’s”.
We have it more difficult SURVIVE IN UNITY . Any attempt to divide and play with selfishness must be rejected. The united, disciplined, solidary Polish camp, led by President Jarosław Kaczyński, remains of great value. We must realize that its disintegration and destruction will be the next goal of Poland’s enemies.
In Berlin they are happy that they won the elections in Poland. This makes us sad. But let’s not think that this exhausts their objectives. They will want to go further, because opponents of independent Poland never believe that they have sufficiently weakened the country. They know our ability to rise from difficult situations.
That is why the attempts to attack the Prime Minister, for example, are so damaging Mateusz Morawiecki, a politician without whose fight in this campaign the result could have been even weaker, who won the televised election debate under extremely difficult circumstances. It’s worth noting that the groups that aggressively promoted this for years are now doing so
The Confederation – a political force that first defeated PiS against the backdrop of the pandemic and the war, separated some voters and then, when everyone saw the lack of seriousness and pro-Tussian direction, transferred them to the Third Way. They had fun then, they have fun now. Let us not take this seriously, let us reject these attempts to divide the Polish camp.
We have to LOOK POLAND. All issues raised in the campaign remain valid. Poland cannot disarm, give up its sovereignty, agree to the settlement of large numbers of migrants from Africa, or sell its national assets. We must warn and organize public opinion, use all legal instruments and make our compatriots aware of the threats.
We must continually – as a patriotic camp –LOOK to regain influence over the fate of the country. Certainly in the local elections, then the European elections and then the presidential elections. Or perhaps in this Sejm, because other majorities are possible there – although not necessarily in the first round. If the first two points are completed, the third will also be completed.
The stakes are still high and the opportunities – despite difficult circumstances – are enormous.
This is the task of the entire front that we must ultimately create to defend ourselves, to defend Poland, to defend ourselves, our development prospects, the prospects for the good fate of our families and, above all, our dignity. It will be the situation that is currently being prepared for us that will be very seriously affected. Because for a country of 38 million inhabitants, and potentially 40 million inhabitants, with a decent level of economic development, capable of building a very strong army, not having its own independent state is a shame, and we cannot do not agree with this disgrace.
Totally agree. So I repeat: we must survive in unity, watch over Poland, look for opportunities.
