“Let us emphasize that Law and Justice won this election, but it did not. And one of the reasons was economic and social success. The well-being of many people, Polish families, has improved, we are not plagued by such risks as in Tusk’s time. No one received PLN 2. increases, no one was forced to emigrate. But Tusk managed to evoke negative emotions and the language of swear words. It was also a strong theatricalization of hatred, of which Tusk was the main promoter,” says Marek Formela, editor-in-chief of “Gazeta Gdańska”, in “Salon Dziennikarski”, referring to the issue of the post-election landscape in Poland.
Poles have become theatrical
Talking about journalists spitting on them, saying that the PiS elections are a mob that drinks and beats their women, talking about sleeping in, talking about cleaning with an iron broom – echoes of this are contained in the PO’s 100 demands. Some are repeated, so there are less than 100. Talking about responsibility, about expropriations of bandits and bringing Jarosław Kaczyński before a tribunal and court is a language that did not exist in Polish democracy. This is language that, to some extent, reflected the emotions evoked by the Women’s Strike. To some extent, Mr. Kramek’s thinking about the vibration of emotions in Poland was confirmed by this decision, which is aimed at several tens of percent of the interests of those who voted for the change.
– emphasized Marek Formela, adding that “Poles voted against their own interests, they succumbed to theatrics, which turned PiS into a symbol, a manifestation of non-modernity.”
PiS was too lenient
According to Marek Formela, Law and Justice were “too lenient” towards what the opposition did.
Tusk has often said that they lie and steal. You should have said “I’m checking” in court. Pomaska in Gdańsk was able to track down all his political rivals with just one word, and with premeditation. PiS was extremely mild. The opposition said that Lotos had been sold and that Daniel Obajtek would be held responsible for the sale of shares in the Gdańsk refinery – no one did that. A lie was used. To believe that Tusk is more likely to file for bankruptcy
– noted the journalist.
The agricultural twelve
Referring to the so-called agriculture twelve, a program that aims to guarantee stability for farmers, Formela pointed out that “the Civic Platform will move in the anti-agricultural direction because it is written in the demands.”
There is talk of irrigating wetlands and peatlands and limiting production. If someone in the countryside voted for PO, he or she has twisted this noose himself. The Polish countryside developed incredibly, peasants did not protest, and when protests did take place, they were minor disagreements, the leader of which was Kołodziejczak, who suddenly became liberal. What kind of rural party leader is Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz? He’s a city man
– emphasized Marek Formela in “Salon Dziennikarski”.
