We are not offended by democracy, unlike our opponents we are not crazy about hatred, PiS chief of staff, MEP Joachim Brudziński, said in Szczecin on Saturday. He added that if PiS is in opposition, it will look into the hands of the new government and hold them responsible for any decision.
On Saturday, during a press conference in Szczecin, PiS chief of staff, MEP Joachim Brudziński, summarized the parliamentary elections. In the Szczecin constituency (No. 41), the Law and Justice Electoral Commission obtained 159,575 votes (28.79%), and in the Koszalin constituency (No. 40) 101,023 votes (31.36%).
We are not offended by democracy, unlike our opponents, we are not mad about hatred. For us, West Pomerania has no festive colors
– said the chief of staff of PiS, MEP Joachim Brudziński, during the press conference.
If this ‘sucking’ of the opposition for power is so strong and so dominant that this government is formed, I want to say it very clearly – also in the context of Western Pomerania – that they will not have an easy time
– he declared.
We will not be total opposition, we will not fight them on the streets and abroad, we will not talk about ‘shaking off the locusts’, but we have started too many good things to waste.
– assured Brudziński.
If we remain in opposition, they will not have an easy time here – in Western Pomerania, in Szczecin. We will watch their hands, we will hold them accountable for every decision and we will not let what we did for West Pomerania for eight years go to waste.
– emphasized the PiS chief of staff.
Two long-time PiS MPs who stood as candidates for constituency No. 41 will leave the Sejm benches: Leszek Dobrzyński and Michał Jach. The new parliamentarians will be West Pomeranian Voivode Zbigniew Bogucki and Szczecin councilor Dariusz Matecki (sovereign Poland). In addition to Marek Gróbarczyk, Artur Szałabawka also remains in the Sejm.
Three MPs from the constituency
The Law and Justice Electoral Commission will also introduce three MPs running from constituency No. 40 to the Sejm. As in 2019, the Vice Chairman of the Sejm Health Committee Czesław Hoc, Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Małgorzata Golińska and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Paweł Głosernaker has secured a new term.
However the situation in Parliament and the majority turns out, we will be the custodians of every issue that concerned the voters of Law and Justice. We will be the guardians of the nearly 7.5 million votes we received, the programs we introduced and the investments we made
– Chefnaker assured.
When asked by journalists about the mistakes made during the election campaign, the Chief of Staff of Law and Justice emphasized that “Law and Justice won these elections.”
I’ve never hidden behind anyone’s back. As chief of staff, I made myself available to the leader during the first meeting after these elections. I have no problem with such decisions being made for my work as Chief of Staff
– said Brudziński.
When asked about the hope that the United Right would form a government, Brudziński replied that “it seems unlikely today”.
