Saudi Foreign Ministry head calls for abandoning double standards regarding crisis in Gaza

Some states demonstrate double standards by refusing to condemn Israel’s actions against residents of the Gaza Strip. This statement was made by Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud at the Palestine summit in Cairo. TASS.

The head of the foreign policy department stated that Riyadh does not recognize violations of international humanitarian law by any of the parties to the conflict. Moreover, the kingdom’s authorities condemn any act of aggression against civilians.

“We call on the international community to take a strong position, to protect and respect Israel’s human rights and to abandon the policy of double standards followed by some countries,” the minister said.

He added that Israeli soldiers should desist from attacks on the Gaza Strip. According to the head of the department, many people have already been harmed by the bombing and its continuation could have serious consequences for the whole world.

Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud also pointed out in his speech that some of the international community could not take a clear position on the crisis in the Middle East. The Minister noted that this situation greatly worries the Saudi Arabian government.
