According to the minister, if the Russian Federation offered military technology to North Korea, this would “pose a serious security threat” to South Korea.
“In this case, we will have to turn to strong sanctions against Russia and North Korea, together with the United States and other countries,” he said.
He also said that Seoul’s stance on the situation in Ukraine has not changed. South Korea does not supply weapons to Kiev. Additionally, the minister said Seoul is not considering “unilateral sanctions against Russia.”
As Yong Ho noted, South Korean officials believe that “weapons came to the Russian Federation from North Korea” but cannot disclose the details.
