“Mr. Donald Tusk achieved the best result in history and that is why he has a clear mandate to become Prime Minister,” said PSL MP Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski in the program “Gość Wiadomości” (TVP Info).
He has the right to do this because he has the largest party and has achieved the highest result. (…) Unlike any politician, PiS has the ability to form a government
– noted the parliamentarian.

Counter-reaction from the PiS MP
PiS MP Daniel Milewski spoke in a very different tone.
Using the rhetoric present among opposition groups, it can be said that this is almost 70 percent Poles do not want Donald Tusk as Prime Minister
– he said.
When you went to the elections, you said you wanted to be the Third Way. (…) One of the results of these elections is that voters gave the highest confidence mandate to PiS by participating in the referendum in which 40 percent participated. The outcome of this referendum is clear. As a result of Sunday’s elections and referendum, the country defined a particular direction of state policy that it considered important. I believe that without PiS it is impossible to follow this path
– explained the parliamentarian.
If you want to be the Third Way, and not the gateway to the Second Way, you must demonstrate new quality and difference. Being the Third Way means showing the difference – not being the third stage, not the fifth column or the commuter
– he said.
