The more the party members of Tusk, Kosiniak-Kamysz, Hołownia and Czarzasty in the European Parliament put pressure on the work on the so-called migration pact, the more often they declare in public statements in Poland that they are against accepting illegal immigrants.
The EU migration pact
The initiative to discuss this acceleration in the EP was taken by Manfred Weber’s EPP, which was immediately supported by the European Left, but also by the third political group in the EP – Renew, of which Róża Thun, who represents the Hołownia movement , is a member. member.
Such a debate took place last Wednesday in Strasbourg and its conclusion was the obligation of the governments formed by the Christian Democratic, Liberal, Green and Left parties in the Member States to work on the final arrangement of this pact, the so-called crisis regulation.
Furthermore, immediately after this debate, the ambassadors of the Member States met in Brussels at a meeting of the Council of the European Union and adopted the above-mentioned regulation, with the opposition of Poland and Hungary and the abstentions of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria. .
Now the so-called trilogues, i.e. negotiations between representatives of the European Parliament, the Commission and the Council on the final form of the Migration Pact, but it can be expected that these will increase the incentives to accept illegal immigrants, which should be reflected in the proposal to increase the amount of fines for countries that do not want to accept the assigned immigrants, from the previously proposed amount of 22,000 euros to 30,000 euros for one person who is not admitted.
The opposition denies or ignores it
Meanwhile, politicians from Platform, PSL, Ruch Hołownia or the left in Poland deny or deny that they are in favor of accepting illegal immigrants, indicating that the pact contains provisions that exempt countries accepting refugees from Ukraine from the distribution also to them, illegal immigrants.
Such provisions obviously do not exist in the pact, all member states are obliged to accept them, and the distribution of immigrants must take place on the basis of an algorithm developed in 2015 for the previous version of this regulation and which was blocked by Poland after Law and Justice took over other Visegrad Group countries.
There is only a provision stating that countries that have accepted a large number of immigrants from Ukraine in proportion to their population can apply to the EC to exclude illegal immigrants from the first chapter, but due to the fact that currently in almost all EU countries, there are war refugees from this country, it is already clear that there will be no exclusions in this regard.
The referendum game
It is therefore clear that these four political parties, if God forbid they form a government after the next elections, will agree to Poland’s participation in the distribution of illegal immigrants under the said migration pact.
This is why their representatives discourage Poles from participating in the referendum accompanying the parliamentary elections on October 15, so that more than 50 percent do not participate. entitled.
Studies into the reception of illegal immigrants are known and clear: almost 90 percent. respondents are against accepting it, turnout is an open question and this is what the opposition wants to weaken.
Hence, several instructions and videos have been posted on the Internet by leading politicians of the above-mentioned parties on how to participate in the Sejm and Senate elections and not participate in the referendum.
People who have changed the issue of compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Poland in all cases over the past eight years are now trying to convince their voters not to use the main mechanism of direct democracy, namely the referendum.
The duplicity of politicians from Platform, PSL, Ruch Hołownia and Left regarding the movement of illegal immigrants is astonishing, let’s hope the voters will notice it.
