“Civic Platform politicians do not understand three concepts at all. God, honor, homeland” – these were the words used by Janusz Kowalski, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, against PO MP and former Vice President of Radom, Konrad Frysztak. The Solidarna Polska politician was in the company of Robert Bąkiewicz, a PiS list candidate for MP from the Radom district.
MP Konrad Frysztak heard a few words of truth in Radom
– wrote Robert Bąkiewicz on the X website. He included a video of the event in the entry.
Civic Platform politicians do not understand three concepts at all. God honor the country
– said Kowalski.
You don’t believe in God, you have no honor and you have no idea of your homeland
– added.
Suffrage for national minorities
Electoral rights for national minorities should be abolished in Poland – said Deputy Justice Minister Janusz Kowalski on Tuesday, who came to Radom to support Robert Bąkiewicz – a candidate for the Sejm from the PiS list in the Radom district.
This is Article 197 of the Electoral Act, which currently exempts national minority electoral commissions from the need to apply a 5% support threshold for the entire country.
I hope that during the first session of the regular Sejm we can convince everyone that Art. 197 to delete the security of the Republic of Poland
– said Kowalski.
He noted that in Poland “the same principle that applies throughout the EU should be adopted: there are no exemptions from electoral thresholds for national minorities.”
According to the politician of Sovereign Poland, parliamentarians from national minorities in the Sejm should be elected from the lists of major parties.
It is no secret that in a few years there will probably also be great pressure to establish a Ukrainian party in Poland
– Kowalski noted.
If two, three or four Ukrainian parliamentarians were to decide on Polish security, recent events show how risky that is.
– added the Deputy Minister.
Bąkiewicz had a similar opinion.
Recent events regarding the strong disagreements in Polish-Ukrainian politics prove that the Ukrainian minority, currently in Poland, can also be an element of weakening Poland’s position in the international arena.
– said Bąkiewicz.
According to both politicians, proof of the discrepancy between the interests of Poles and the minority could be the vote in October 2021, when Ryszard Galla, member of the Sejm of the German minority, against building a barrier against the Polish-Belarusian population voted. border and did not support the German request for reparations to Poland.
MP Kowalski, who is seeking re-election, presented a similar position at a press conference in Opole in late September. Rafał Bartek, leader of the Association of German Social and Cultural Associations in Poland, commented on the statement of the politician of Sovereign Poland.
I have the impression that MP Kowalski has been operating on a broken record for some time now. We heard nothing new. The MP is annoyed by the German language in general. (…) Our Member of Parliament and our representatives in Parliament are independent people and decisions will always be made independently, taking into account the interests of the state and the region. Speaking about one MP posing a threat to Poland shows that democracy is weak in the eyes of the ruling party and MP Kowalski.
– said Bartek.
