The Government of Cyprus is ready to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the Armenians of Karabakh and is considering the possibility of hosting Armenian refugees in the country. This was reported by RIA News Based on the statement of the Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The Republic of Cyprus maintains channels open to the Armenian people. In this context, the Cyprus Government is ready to provide urgent humanitarian aid to thousands of Armenians who were expelled from Karabakh and left their ancestral homeland. In this context, the possibilities of settling a large number of Armenian refugees in our country, if needed, are also being evaluated.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned Azerbaijan’s military operation on September 19 and 20 and the “grave violation of the Ceasefire Agreement of November 9, 2020.”
EU Foreign Affairs Representative Peter Stano on 29 September statedIt was stated that the EU is ready to provide additional humanitarian aid worth 5 million Euros to the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.
September 26, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) chief Samantha Power reported Allocating $11.5 million in humanitarian aid to the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.
