Political instability in the countries of the African continent is associated with the decline in the authority of France and Great Britain. This was stated by TASS Ambassador General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Head of the Secretariat of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum Oleg Ozerov.
He commented on the statements of the Western media that the instability in the countries of the continent is allegedly linked to the previous Russia-Africa summit. The diplomat noted that Western partners attributed this to the Russian Federation.
“The current turbulence is associated with complex political and economic processes in these countries,” Ozerov said.
He attributed the cause of political instability to the decline in the authority of former colonial countries, including France, England and others. According to the ambassador, European states are rapidly losing their positions.
Ozerov emphasized that this happened not because of the summit in Russia, but because of the redistribution of power between the West and the global South.
