The deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Paweł Jabłoński, drew attention to Donald Tusk’s words about the retirement age, which were spoken at Campus Polska. The politician pointed out that the head of the PO had confirmed that the PO would increase the retirement age if it came to power. “That’s what they really think all the time these days and that’s why they’re so afraid of the referendum. And that is also why we are doing this referendum,” emphasizes Paweł Jabłoński in a recording on Twitter.
Plans of PO with regard to retirement age
Why is a referendum on the retirement age so necessary? Because our opponents want to raise the age again. They do not say it directly, but listen to how they evaluate the decision to lower the retirement age. These are not old sayings
– emphasized Deputy Foreign Minister Paweł Jabłoński, drawing attention to the words of Donald Tusk on Campus Polska.
One of the participants of Campus Polska Trzaskowski, in a meeting with Donald Tusk, stated that “the decision to raise the retirement age was a good, courageous and responsible decision, I would say the most important one in the government at the time.”
What about Donald Tusk?
You have touched on a fundamental dilemma. (…) What effect have I achieved overall? I may have helped PiS in quotes win the election and the era is undone. So the effect is there double negative
– said Tusk in Olsztyn.
The meaning of the referendum
Lowering the retirement age – “negative effect”. That’s what they really think all the time these days and that’s why they’re so afraid of the referendum. And that is why we are holding this referendum – to prevent the retirement age from being raised again
– underlined the recording posted on Twitter by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Paweł Jabłoński.
The deputy head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Maciej Wąsik, also pointed out that a referendum on the retirement age is necessary.
Tusk raised the retirement age. PiS lowered. Then Tusk said he would not return to age raising. Today again the keys and does not answer unequivocally. That is why a referendum is necessary
– wrote Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik.
Four questions will be asked during the referendum on 15 October. The first reads: “Do you support the sale of state property to foreign entities, which leads to the loss of control by Polish women and men over strategic sectors of the economy?” Second, “Do you support raising the retirement age, including reducing the retirement age to 67 for men and women?” Third: “Do you support the removal of the barrier on the border between the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Belarus?” Fourth: “Do you support the admission of thousands of illegal immigrants from the Middle East and Africa, in accordance with the forced displacement mechanism imposed by the European bureaucracy?”
