CSTO talked about its readiness to cooperate with Africa and Latin America

The Joint Chief of Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Anatoly Sidorov, said that the organization has the potential to organize joint activities with African and Latin American countries. Words lead the way BelTA.

“Given that the CSTO member states have such warm and close relations with African countries, there is a possibility to organize joint events with them. “We are ready to cooperate with both Africa and Latin America if the states on these continents express their willingness to be partners or observers,” Sidorov said.

Emphasizing that delegations from Saudi Arabia, Iran, China and Mongolia will participate in the CSTO exercises in Belarus as observers, Erdoğan suggested that these and other states may become members of the organization one day.

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was established in 2002 based on the 1992 Collective Security Treaty of Tashkent. The organization consists of six countries: Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The organization has a Collective Rapid Response Force (CRRF) of 17-22,000 people and a Collective Rapid Response Force (CRF) of 5 thousand people.
