Some degree of sensible privatization will be needed – PO member Janusz Lewandowski said on Saturday at Campus Poland of the Future. MP Izabela Leszczyna assured that Civic Platform had no intention of privatizing strategic fuel and energy companies.
Lewandowski and Leszczyna took part in a panel dedicated to the Polish economy.
If anyone envisions an economic miracle happening right after the changing of the guard, let them know that it will work under very strong political constraints. It will be a coalition government, which will have brutal and strong opposition in the Sejm and will have someone in the president who will hinder rather than help. This can make it difficult to mobilize European funds quickly
Lewandowski said.
He stressed that the strength of the Polish economy is private entrepreneurship.
This contradicts the model built by good change, i.e. centralized, nationalized, ruled by very mediocre and very loyal people, but at the cost of a huge discount on this asset.
– said the PO member.
Some degree of sensible privatization will be needed
Lewandowski said.
MP Leszczyna, in turn, assured that KO “does not intend to privatize strategic fuel and energy companies”.
She also spoke of the need to restore the rule of law in Poland. According to her, respect for the separation of powers, human and civil rights is necessary for Poland to receive PLN 270 billion from the National Reconstruction Plan, and will also allow Poland to regain its credibility.
Credibility is the most important thing in business
she noted.
Hazel also pointed to the need for a stable and predictable tax system.
Taxes should be as low and as simple as possible
she noted.
The KO MP pointed out that one of the biggest problems in contemporary Polish development is the demographic gap.
We have a problem in the labor market: there is no one to work with
said Leszczyna.
Migration Policy
We will not survive without a sensible migration policy. Let’s not complain about the Ukrainians who work here, but let’s be happy that they pay taxes and pension contributions here
she added.
She also drew attention to the need to implement a sensible demographic policy – in this context she recalled, among other things: about the postulate of the introduction of a “grandmother”
We encourage people to work longer, without which it is impossible. We have a draft law ready: if you do not retire, you remain voluntarily on the labor market, you do not pay a pension contribution, you have a total of almost 20 percent in your pocket. more – because half of the employee contribution is 10 percent. and your employer gives you a little more. So you immediately get a higher salary. And the state finances your pension premium, so that your pension capital grows to the average salary
she announced.
She assured that KO would not raise the retirement age.
