The situation is not easy, but it can be solved. It takes good will to fix it. Until September 15, the import of grain from Ukraine is prohibited. This ban should be extended. We have the right to voice the concerns of Polish farmers. The Minister of Agriculture and Commissioner Wojciechowski are active in this matter
– said Beata Kempa in an interview with television wPolsce.pl.
A story for the Kremlin?
The MEP from Sovereign Poland referred to the information from one of the radio stations, which allegedly shows that Poland is the only one in the European Union when it comes to the possibility of extending the embargo on Ukrainian grain.
We hear that a coalition of countries is forming that wants the embargo lifted. This is not completely true. Discussions are ongoing on this topic and ministers of different countries are talking about it. It is a pity that this editorial did not make any efforts and did not speak to us with the Polish Minister of Agriculture. Today we would not have this disinformation
– said Beata Kempa.
Unfortunately, the Kremlin needs such information. You have to be careful with the story of Putin trying to influence what is happening in the EU and in Ukraine. The issue of transit needs to be addressed, and in a very controlled way. It must be done. We have very efficient services that deal with this. This transit works and this operation was successful. Grain goes to countries threatened by famine. (…)
– said Beata Kempa.
