The US should not give Ukraine a new bailout, but instead Washington should focus on solving domestic problems. This opinion was expressed in the broadcast Fox News Kevin Roberts, President of the Heritage Foundation of the US Research Institute.

According to him, the US economy has weakened significantly, the state cannot afford the current level of financial support to Ukraine.

“For this reason, I strongly oppose the new $24 billion bailout,” said Roberts.

The expert added that the mechanism for allocating aid to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky should be more transparent.

In August, Biden asked Congress for an additional $40 billion in spending. Of these, $24 billion is expected to be allocated to Kiev: $13.1 billion for military spending.

This week at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine reportedthat the country received the seventh macro-financial aid tranche (MFA) from the European Union amounting to €1.5 billion. Since the beginning of 2023, Ukraine has already received 12 billion euros for concessional loan financing under the MFP. In total, the program provided €18 billion.

Formerly USA and Ukraine started Negotiations on security guarantees for Kyiv.
