Although Hołownia joined the Senate Pact, the head of Poland 2050 washes his hands of letters to the Sejm on behalf of the Civic Coalition. In an interview with “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”, when asked about Michał Kołodziejczak’s candidacy, he replied that “this is the question of the KO and the responsibility of Donald Tusk”.

Hołownia estimates Kołodziejczak’s result

According to Hołownia, Kołodziejczak’s departure from the KO list is a “serious risk decision” because it is not known what any particular candidate will do with the mandate. He said some people have probably forgotten that it’s about getting as many seats as possible, not about voting – all to wrest PiS from power “on the first parliamentary vote”.

There was also a bit of bitterness directed at Donald Tusk. Hołownia said that Kołodziejczak tried to deal with different groups and it is not known if he will not change his political colors this time as well.

– Hołownia wondered, adding that at the moment it is clear that Kołodziejczak lost AgroUnia and he could win about 10,000 himself in the elections. to vote.

Hołownia also said that his group would fight for AgroUnia voters so that they would not join the Confederation – if that happened, “the whole story with Kołodziejczak’s transfer would be dramatic news for the entire Democratic side.”

Threat to Poland 2050 and PSL?

Hołownia also argued that Kołodziejczak is not a threat to Poland 2050 and PSL as he is no longer AgroUnion. In his opinion, the new KO acquisition tried to “cheat” Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz – he planned to stick to the Third Way and take the place of the head of the peasant party as a representative of the village.

When asked about the Third Way election result, Hołownia replied that today’s average is 10-11 percent.

– said Hołownia, adding that “the fact will matter who comes third”. It is worth noting that the President of Law and Justice Jarosław Kaczyński clearly stated that his party would not form a coalition with the Confederation.

Giertych better than Kolodziejczak?

The conversation also touched on the Senate Pact and Roman Giertych’s candidacy, which was rejected by the coalition partners. Sam Hołownia said he suggested the lawyer’s candidacy because “he should be given the opportunity to run as an independent candidate”. Pointing out that in the case of Kołodziejczak, the head of Poland 2050 speaks of unpredictability, and in the case of a lawyer who “was an important figure in the first PiS government”, he nominates his candidacy, Hołownia replied that Giertych was changed and “would help regulate PiS.”

Rather unhappy with the shape of the Senate Pact, Hołownia tries to get back at Donald Tusk with petty malice.
