Court describes Trump’s online indictment as fictitious

The Fulton County Court Office in Georgia said the indictment against former US President Donald Trump, posted on the court’s website on Aug. Reuters.

A document appeared on the court’s website the other day, accusing Trump of forgery, providing forged documents, blackmailing and inciting an official to break his oath. This document was available for review for only half an hour and was subsequently removed from the site.

The court described the online indictment as fictitious and urged journalists not to accept unofficially recorded documents as fact. The Fulton County Attorney’s Office also said no charges have yet been filed against Trump.

By contrast, Trump’s defenders viewed the incident not as a simple administrative error, but as evidence of widespread and overt constitutional violations that had been present in the former president’s case from the very beginning.

Earlier, former US President Donald Trump said that his chances of defeating the current head of the White House, Joe Biden, in the 2024 presidential election are “close to 100%”.
