In the European Parliament, at the request of the EPP, a debate was organized on … the Polish law on the commission of Russian influence. Former Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło gave a strong speech in the debate.
Listening to the previous speakers, who have been elected as Polish MEPs, I am beginning to wonder whether they should not apologize to the Poles for calling for rebellion in Poland here in the EP and talk directly about the putting people on the street
– she said Beata Szydlo.
I wonder if it will already be a practice that it will be allowed to run an election campaign in the EP on time, because how to take these speeches, Mr Halicki’s hysterical statement. Why don’t you tell Mr. Halicki what Tusk and Putin talked about at Sopot Pier? Please let’s get down to business
continued the PiS MEP.
Do you all who voted for this debate know the constitution? Do you know the text of the law you are debating? And above all – why do you oppose the creation of such a committee, which already functions in other countries, which works, among other things, here in the EP. Why are you defending Russian influences and not defending the interests of Polish citizens you represent?
– said Beata Szydlo.
“Shame on Sikorski for having been Secretary of State!
Too bad, Sikorski, that you were once Secretary of State! It is a pity that in this room there are former prime ministers who once represented parties that took out loans in Moscow. Don’t you remember this?
asked the former prime minister rhetorically.
The constitution in Poland is not violated, Polish law is not violated
she stressed.
It is good that this committee was set up in Poland, because when we talk about how strong Russian influences are, this debate shows that they are very strong
She finished her speech.
