The government has passed a draft amendment to the Military Property Agency Act, the Prime Minister’s Chancellery has announced. The new regulations allow the Agency to procure equipment and services to equip the Polish Armed Forces.

The new rules come into effect 14 days after publication in the Journal of Laws.
Nuclear power plant with funding

Investment process
In November 2022, the Polish government indicated that the technology for the first power plant under the Polish Nuclear Energy Program (PPEJ) would be provided by the American company Westinghouse and the power plant would be built in Pomerania. PPEJ plans to build two power plants at two different locations. The government plans to launch the first unit of the power plant in 2033.
In May this year the heads of PEJ and Westinghouse and Bechtel signed an agreement on a design consortium and technical services for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Pomerania.
The PEJ company, wholly owned by the state treasury, will prepare the investment process and act as an investor in the project to build the first nuclear power plant in Poland. PEJ will also be responsible for the construction of other reactors with a total installed capacity of approximately 6 to approximately 9 GWe based on large-scale pressurized water nuclear reactors of generation III+ and their operation.
13th of April. PEJ has submitted an application to the Ministry of Climate and Environment for a decision in principle for the nuclear power plant in Pomerania.
