During a tour of the country, at a rally in Sulechów, Donald Tusk again showed a display of rudeness, but also complete hypocrisy, as he insulted voters and claimed that he was “mad” about honesty in government.
He spoke extremely contemptuously of the Law and Justice voters:
And in Poland everything is turned upside down, ie the kings of life are those who drink, beat their children, beat women and have not been disgraced with work for many years. A dream political clientele for the authorities, who themselves have a very similar way of thinking to this clientele.
In the latter case, Tusk stated that under his rule whoever said “one sentence too many” or “did something wrong and took the money” immediately left the government, that Tusk was laughed at, that he had “shit” on this point. .
Allegations against Tusk’s ministers
And what did it look like in the “tusk” reality? As Piotr Nisztor, journalist of “Gazeta Polska”, summarized, as many as 13 ministers and deputy ministers of the PO and PSL governments are facing serious charges.
According to the editor Nisztor, one of them has already been legally convicted, 3 others have already been convicted in the first instance, the cases of 5 others have been referred to court by the prosecutor’s office and 4 others are being investigated by prosecutors. .
The accusations against these ministers and state secretaries range from false statements, abuse of power, corruption, participation in a criminal organization and money laundering.
So these are also charges of committing serious crimes, threatened with lengthy prison terms, and to put it mildly, the slowness of our justice system means that in most of these cases no convictions have yet been handed down.
And yet there are important politicians of the Platform, whom the prosecutor’s office cannot indict, because their fellow party members do not allow their immunity to be lifted (the most glaring example of such a blockade is the president of the senate, Tomasz Grodzki, who, despite serious allegations by the prosecution, was prevented by the majority of the senate from waiving immunity for more than two years.
In the period of the PO-PSL rule, politicians of the PO, in addition to many public charges, should also be charged with political charges, including political consent to the “privatization” of taxes, especially VAT.
She spoke directly at the meetings of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry of Prof. Elżbieta Chojna-Duch (Deputy Finance Minister for some time during the PO-PSL government) that the amendment of the VAT law was prepared under the dictate of tax advisers representing large companies and approved by the parliamentary committee “Friendly State” led by then Member of Parliament Janusz Palikot and the head of the political cabinet of Tusk, Sławomir Nowak.
It was this political endorsement that so-called the VAT Gap at the height of Donald Tusk’s administration stood at 27 percent. potential revenue from this tax, and during the PiS administration it was reduced to 4.3 percent. (data for 2021).
This is also confirmed by the current budget VAT revenue, which will exceed PLN 286 billion in 2023 (despite maintaining the zero VAT rate for food), ie it will be about the same amount, and all budget revenue in 2015 , the last year of the PO-PSL government (amounted to PLN 289 billion).
Tusk didn’t look to his own ranks
It seems that Tusk, who first announced the “Cela Plus” program and now additionally spoke of “crazy” about fairness in his administration, did not look closely in his ranks, because there are enough people against whom not only prosecutors are investigating, but indictments have already been prepared and filed in the courts.
Only the so-called doctrine of MP Neumann, who is himself prosecuted (in short: the courts are ours and as long as you are with us they will not harm you), ensures that most of the aforementioned charges against members of Donald Tusk’s administration has so far not turned into convictions.
