Spider-Man actor Tom Holland says he’s been sober for over a year, Variety reports.

According to the star, she changed her attitude towards alcohol after starring in the anthology series “A Crowded Room” dedicated to mental health issues on Apple TV+.

The first season of the series is inspired by the novel The Curious Case of Billy Milligan by author Daniel Keyes.

Holland plays the role of Danny Sullivan, who was arrested for the Rockefeller Center mass murder in the summer of 1979. The perpetrator of the tragedy is later diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder.

Talking about filming, Holland admitted that he had a hard time playing the role of a criminal with mental health issues.

While working on the project, the actress rethought the importance of taking care of her own psychological state, for which she decided to completely abandon the use of alcohol. Holland announced that he had not touched alcohol for a year and four months.
