I hope the Senate will vote unanimously for the resolution defending the good name of John Paul II, PiS senator Stanisław Karczewski stressed in an interview with PAP. On Tuesday, the Senate Legislative Committee will consider draft resolutions on John Paul II from PiS and PSL senators.
Karczewski pointed out that – as in the Sejm – he would also like to pass one resolution in the Senate on the defense of the good name of John Paul II.
He also stressed that he “regrets the tardiness” of Tomasz Grodzki, the Senate Marshal, because – as he said – the vote on this issue should have taken place at the previous Senate meeting. But “it’s good that we’re going to vote at all,” he added.
The previous session of the Senate took place on March 29-30, the next session is scheduled for May 10 and 11.
I hope that the Senate – although I am not so sure, because the situation in the Sejm could be repeated – will vote unanimously in favor of the resolution defending the good name of John Paul II
