The US Congress has proposed allowing the use of the US Armed Forces to protect Ukraine if Russia uses weapons of mass destruction. The resolution was penned by Representative Adam Kinzinger, a member of the House of Representatives.
“After meeting with the Foreign Minister [Энтони] After listening to his serious concerns about Blinken and the possibility of using it [президентом РФ Владимиром] “I am confident that Putin’s abandonment of chemical weapons will show the world community that the United States will not tolerate senseless violence,” he said.
The explanatory note states that this initiative “may empower the US president to use our forces to respond to a scenario in which the Russian Federation uses chemical, biological or nuclear weapons against Ukraine.”
“I don’t think we should send troops to Ukraine anymore. I just submitted a document authorizing the use of the armed forces,” The Hill quotes the Republican.
Kinzinger added that the bill would not make any commitments to Biden, but would give him “more flexibility.” He believes that the United States can thus “stand up for the defense of humanity” and “protect its national and security interests in relation to Ukraine”.
It is not known exactly when evaluation of the proposed document could begin.
At the same time, the White House has repeatedly said that US President Joe Biden is against sending the US military to Ukraine.
The president of the country in every possible way denies the participation of mercenaries in hostilities on the territory of this country. In Washington, this position is explained by the fact that the sending of the American Armed Forces will provoke the risk of a direct military conflict between Russia and NATO.
But at the same time, the United States is officially and openly sending arms to Kiev and providing financial aid. And each time the quantity is more. Biden now awaits congressional approval for an additional $33 billion.
“If approved quickly by Congress, this aid package could be implemented in the next five months,” the Pentagon said.
Negotiations on this issue continue at the highest level. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently met with Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi in Kiev. Their meeting lasted 4 hours. During this time, they discussed “major issues of assistance” to Ukraine.

“They specifically addressed military procurement, macro-financial assistance, sanctions policy, political interaction with the United States,” Zelensky said. Pelosi assured the Ukrainian side that “more US support is on the way”.
But despite the numerous deliveries of weapons, Ukraine is still not satisfied with the help of the United States.
According to Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Washington’s arms supply will change the situation, but “not as quickly as we would like”, because now the fighters of the Armed Forces Ukraine is simply learning to use them.
This results in a vicious circle: the United States supplies Ukraine with weapons, and Russia conducts a special operation to demilitarize and de-Nazis Ukraine.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the Russian armed forces will destroy all foreign weapons transferred to Kiev.
“Any weapon, any supply of weapons on Ukrainian soil is a legitimate target, because these weapons will be delivered to a regime that is waging war against its population,” he said in an interview with Al Arabiya TV channel.
According to the Russian Foreign Minister, Moscow knows the delivery routes to the Ukrainian side: “As soon as these weapons reach Ukrainian territory, they become the target of our special operations.”
