38 percent of Poles believe that the crash of the plane carrying President Lech Kaczyński on April 10, 2010 could be the result of an attack ordered by Vladimir Putin. 39 percent respondents are of the opposite opinion, and 23 percent. there are no opinions on this matter – according to the social change survey for the wPolityce.pl portal. “You can see that there is a very strong division in society,” said Bartosz Kownacki, PiS MP, about the results of the investigation in an interview with the wPolityce.pl portal.
The PiS Member of Parliament points out that despite everything, it is 38 percent. Poles acknowledging that an attack may have been committed in Smolensk is a large group, slightly surpassing even current support for PiS in some polls.
Anyway, this is a very large percentage, because it is even slightly higher than the support for PiS, which means that many people think that in light of what is happening in Ukraine, such a statement is certainly justified in the perspective from which was executed the late Lech Kaczyński – was a threat and an obstacle to the achievement of goals by Vladimir Putin
– say.
“Putin wanted to eliminate Zelensky
When you see how Putin wanted to liquidate Zelensky – that was Putin’s original plan in the early days of the war, to depose the president of Ukraine and take control of the whole country – it is not surprising that more than one third of the respondents agree that April 10, 2010 could have been the assassination ordered by Putin, and there is also a large group of doubters, so it can be said that for about half of Polish society this version of events is justified is. Another thing is that the actions of the Polish state over the years have also contributed to the confirmation of this version
he adds.
Bartosz Kownacki believes that some people who dismiss the possibility of an attack in Smolensk do so simply because they dislike PiS.
Certainly, some people who answer in the negative to such a hypothetical question are expressing their distaste for PiS instead of consciously and calmly assessing the situation. If such research were conducted in Ukraine, I suspect that the majority of respondents would answer that such an attack could have happened and could have been ordered by Putin, and these answers would be the result of their experience of what is happening in Ukraine. In our country, this experience of Russia’s actions is not as strong as in Ukraine, and the divisions in society are deep, and unfortunately this is the reason for the spread of answers to this question to a large extent
– highlights the PiS MP.
