From now on, Galeria Labirynt in Lublin, located in the library of the popular shopping center, will present a scandalous exhibition of photographs in which men play the role of dogs. At the opening, an ex-stripper who is passionate about “dance, eroticism and everything related to sexuality” performs. Galeria Labirynt is financed from the money of the city – it received PLN 2 million for its operation.
Exhibition of photos of men dressed as dogs
Lublin’s Labirynt Gallery has prepared the exhibition “Dogs Are People” in the Azyl Library, located in the Plaza Gallery. The gallery presents scandalous photos of men dressed as dogs, which we could see, for example, during the LGBT march in Warsaw.
In Poland, fetish is still a taboo subject, especially pup play, which is in the spotlight in the world of politics and media. This kind of activity is wrongly portrayed as a perversion and likened to bestiality. Puppy Play has also been developing in our country for several years. This is largely an activity practiced by people who identify as men, but dogs that escape the schedules welcome all adults, regardless of their orientation or gender
– we read on the website of the organizer. In turn, the author of the scandalous photos, Sylwester Iżowski, stated that he wanted to “show fetish as art. Art that can be beautifully ugly and striking” – all this in the city library that children can access.
But that’s not the end. The vernissage is to “glorify” Malamute Kori. However, it is not about a dog, but about a dancer and former stripper who is passionate about “dance, eroticism and everything related to sexuality”.
Abuse for public money
All this is financed with public money. The Lublin Town Hall awarded PLN 2 million for an exhibition organized as part of the Asylum Library project “Queerujemy Lublin”. The library supports the activities of LGBTQIA communities.
The HerStory Foundation also received money from the municipal treasury – it is PLN 200,000. zlotys for the “Development Support Group”. What does this term mean? “Popularizing and educating LGBT and queer issues among young people and the fight for equality between humans and animals.”
In 2022, Lublin City Hall donated over PLN 62 million to fund NGOs. The planned support for 2023 is PLN 55 million.
But not only Lublin uses public funds to fund scandalous projects. Warsaw City Hall wastes millions and spares no money on projects like “The fight against ‘exclusion’” – this is a long-term collaboration with constant funding for ReFForm – a foundation of owners of sex shops with accessories for gay fetishists. It is also PLN 1 million for the PREKURSOR Social Policy Foundation for “spreading knowledge about the sex industry and the situation of sex workers in Poland, recognizing sex work as work, opposing any criminalization of sex work”.
In turn, the Social Education Foundation received PLN 3.7 million for the project “Men’s take” – a website that encourages sexual contacts in combination with the use of psychoactive substances, and “Projekt Test” – an advertising project in which homosexual oral sex between a doctor and a patient.
PLN 5.7 million was awarded to Krytyka Polityczna’s association. Stanisław Brzozowski for building institutional support for the development of culture.
Should these and other initiatives – often outrageous, outrageous, outrageous for human dignity – be financed with public money?
