Lokomotiv Moscow striker Maxim Glushenkov compared the transition from the capital’s Spartak to CSKA with the transition from McDonald’s to KFC.
The 23-year-old Russian previously played for the Red and Whites from 2019 to 2022 and only appeared in 11 games. After leaving Spartak, he said in an interview: “I would switch from Spartak to CSKA – I play for myself, not for the fans.”
“I attached one meaning to my statement: football is my thing. If a McDonald’s employee didn’t like working there, he would switch to KFC. If a person doesn’t like to work in one place, why not move to another place? The fans have nothing to do with it, ”says the striker sports24.
Glushenkov has played eight games for the Railways this season, scoring two goals and two assists in all competitions.
