As prime minister of a front-line government playing a key role in stopping Putin’s murderous plans, the head of the PO would be a disaster.
You probably don’t realize that here we meet not only the former Prime Minister of Poland, but also one of the greatest politicians in the world – said a man from Czeladź (he said it himself) during a meeting with Donald Tusk in Sosnowiec. “One of the greatest” replied that he was very moved by this. But even this emotion will not drive him crazy. In Donald Tusk’s tour, this manifestation of megalomania is just a funny anomaly. Much worse is what “one of the greatest” the Poles offers on this tour. How he perceives reality and what might result from his return to power.
The only problem of “one of the biggest” is the ruling Law and Justice party and Jarosław Kaczyński. The reality for Tusk does not exist. And what is most dangerous for Poland, namely Russian aggression against Ukraine, which poses a huge threat to us, does not exist. But not for Tusk. This can be understood if one considers that Russia and Putin are actually fascinated by the Civic Platform leader. From his first visit to Moscow as prime minister (in February 2008), through the reset, “good” Russian oil and gas, recognition of the Russian capital as good as any other, closeness and understanding shown on September 1, 2009 at Sopot pier for the famous fists and devotion visible in the look on the evening of April 10, 2010 on the battlefield in Smolensk.
It is not surprising that Tusk did not provoke any negative reactions in Russia: as Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, as President of the European Council, as head of the European People’s Party, as head of the Civic Platform. He was and is “our man in Warsaw”. President Andrzej Duda, President Jarosław Kaczyński and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki are angry and attacked, but Donald Tusk is not. And Putin’s ally, Belarusian satrap Alexander Lukashenko, awaits Tusk’s return to power.
“One of the greatest” is completely overwhelmed by Putin, his services and his propaganda, since the war against Ukraine (and the entire West, including Poland) is practically nonexistent in Tusk’s political activities. The Kremlin treats such people as its property, not as adversaries. And the most interesting thing is that Tusk does not see the threats and impact of the war on the Polish economy, inflation, social attitudes and the future of the young generation, for whom he would give so much during his tour.
Only a man who for many years did not see (probably still does not see) any threat in Russia and played the role of an extremely useful “pacan” in Smolensk (this term is a quote from the British “The Sun”) can persecute politics as if there were there was no war, no Russia, no Putin, no major threats to Poland. All this exists, and “one of the greatest” remains in an idyllic mood, disturbed only by PiS and Jarosław Kaczyński.
It sends shivers down your spine as you imagine the situation in the East escalating, threats to Poland becoming more and more radical and the government led by a man who is completely incapacitated, disabled and acting as if he were watching a movie . Such a person in a front-line state, Europe’s most important role in helping Ukraine, would be the greatest gift Putin could ask for. All the more so that there can be no illusions that all face-to-face conversations with Putin have been recorded. That in Lubyanka they have such a file of “one of the largest” that you can choose from materials suitable for use.
Not that all the things Tusk experiences during his tour are completely unimportant for Poland. The point is that dealing with them does not change the status of “one of the greatest” as a man who is absolutely dangerous for Poland. Precisely because of the problem he has with Russia and Putin, how he behaves during the war, how he acted as Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland and President of the European Council. In that sense, Tusk is a ticking time bomb. Everything else fades into the background. Because this bomb is ticking on issues that matter most to Poland and Poland.
“One of the biggest” is consciously engaged in social issues, flirting with women, youth, seniors to cover the fundamental issue, which is that he is unfit to be Prime Minister of Poland. He was unfit for either, but as the head of a front-line government playing a key role in stopping Putin’s murderous schemes, he would have been a disaster. And if he fails the exam in such a fundamental matter, and those tapes to the conversations and the Lubyanka file are withheld, then there can be only one conclusion: there is no greater misfortune, greater threat, greater disgrace than Donald Tusk who comes to power. Returning to a time when not only the fate of Ukraine, but also of Poland, Europe and the world will be decided. There is no one who should be kept further from power in Poland by the end of 2023 than “one of the greatest”.
