“Greater Poland”. Warsaw is preparing to send troops to Ukraine, according to intelligence

Polish “historical properties” in Ukraine

“According to information received by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Washington and Warsaw are working on plans to establish strict military-political control over Polish “historical properties” in Ukraine,” Naryshkin said, quoted by RIA Novosti.

In his opinion, the first stage of “reunification” should be the entry of Polish troops into the western parts of the country under the slogan “protection against Russian aggression.”

“Methods for the upcoming mission are currently being discussed with the Joe Biden administration. According to the preliminary agreements, it will take place without NATO authorization, but with the participation of “willing states”. The director of the Foreign Intelligence Service said that Warsaw has yet to come to terms with potential members of the “coalition of like-minded people”.

The West, represented by the Entente, noted that we are talking about an attempt to repeat the historical “agreement” for Poland after the First World War, when Warsaw first recognized the right to occupy part of Ukraine in order to protect the population from the Bolsheviks. threat” and the subsequent inclusion of these territories in the composition of the Polish state.

“The events that followed became a clear example of the colonial order and forced Polonization as the main methods of building Greater Poland,” says Naryshkin.

According to him, Polish intelligence services are “looking for “acceptable” representatives of the Ukrainian elite to “create a “democratic” balance against the nationalists, oriented in Warsaw.”

“According to the calculations of the Polish administration, preventive consolidation in western Ukraine with a high probability will lead to division in the country. At the same time, Naryshkin stated that Warsaw would receive mainly the areas under its control, which would include “Polish peacekeepers”.

Part of the modern Ukrainian state was part of Poland from 1921 to 1939. The Republic of Poland was proclaimed after the collapse of the Russian and Austro-Hungarian empires. In 1919, the Council of Entente Ambassadors recognized Poland’s right to occupy eastern Galicia. And a few years later, after the Soviet-Polish war, the western lands of Ukraine became part of Poland. In 1939, the Red Army occupied these areas.

partition of western Ukraine

Yuri Shvytkin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, told Gazeta.ru that Poland, together with its neighbors, has already divided the western part of Ukraine, but so far only in theory.

“The President of Russia, the Commander-in-Chief made it clear: if someone interferes with the conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine, an appropriate response will be made at lightning speed. This is the first. Second. You have to understand that Ukraine no longer exists as a state. There are groups led by Zelensky that make money from the blood of Ukrainians who have long acquired British citizenship. So they will run there if necessary. And the western part of Ukraine today is theoretically divided between the countries of Western Europe. This is Poland and so on,” Shvytkin said.

On April 25, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Polish officials’ statements showed Warsaw’s interest in sending military personnel to Ukraine as a NATO peacekeeping force.

“By sending weapons and generally propagating their efforts in this direction, all leaders declare that the issue of sending NATO troops is excluded. By the way, in addition to Poland, who, through the mouth of Prime Minister Morawiecki, proposes some kind of peacekeeping operation in Ukraine and is openly interested in sending his troops there under peacekeeping flags.

Poland’s desire for Ukraine

Polish authorities began talking about their willingness to send troops to Ukraine in March. On March 15, the head of the Polish government, Mateusz Morawiecki, together with the Deputy Prime Minister Yaroslav Kaczynski visited Kiev. They met with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and other representatives of the country’s authorities. After meeting with Zelensky, Kaczynski suggested sending an armed NATO peacekeeping force to Ukraine.

“We need a NATO peacekeeping mission, or perhaps a broader international mix. But such a mission that will operate on the territory of Ukraine, capable of self-defense. Of course, it will be on the territory of the country with the consent of the president and the government, and this will not be an unarmed mission. “It’s a mission that will be designed to bring peace, carry humanitarian aid, but also be protected by the appropriate forces – the armed forces,” said Kaczynski.

Morawiecki announced on Polish television on March 16 that a proposal to send a peacekeeping force to Ukraine was put forward at an extraordinary NATO summit to be held on March 24.

“Ukraine has the right to invite soldiers from NATO, various organizations and other states. Such a peacekeeping mission would certainly lead to the establishment of peace and tranquility, at least in a significant part of Ukraine,” said Morawiecki.

The Polish Prime Minister emphasized that this idea is being discussed in many European countries. However, Poland’s proposal at the North Atlantic Alliance summit did not find an answer.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov later warned Poland and Western countries not to bring peacekeepers to Ukraine.

“I hope they understand what is at stake. This will be a very direct confrontation between the Russian and NATO armed forces, which everyone says not only does not want to avoid, but also (this is socialbites.ca) should never take part in principle, ”the statement said.

The head of the Foreign Ministry also suggested that the Poles want to send peacekeepers to Ukraine to “establish headquarters in Lvov and stay there”.

Sergei Naryshkin, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, said that Poland plans to establish military-political control over its former “historical properties” in Ukraine. According to him, Warsaw and Washington are currently discussing options from some NATO countries to send “peacekeepers” to Western Ukraine. Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned Poland against such plans. In the State Duma they believe that Poland, together with its neighbors, theoretically already “divided” the western part of Ukraine.
