Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova said that the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) arrest warrant for her is an assessment of her work in helping Russian children stranded in war zones. His comment leads TASS.
“The international community appreciates the work done to help the children of our country, we do not leave them in war zones, we take them out, we create good conditions for them, we surround them with love, they are sensitive people,” he said.
The Ombudswoman added that she has been sanctioned by many countries, including Japan. After the warrant, she wondered what awaited her. She added that she continues her work.
On March 17, the preliminary hearing chamber of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, whose jurisdiction Moscow does not recognize, issued a search warrant Arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova.
