Although the American MQ-9 Reaper drone was created 20 years ago, it contains quite interesting innovations for the Russian military-industrial complex. About this in a conversation with FAN said military analyst, head of the analytical fund “Osnovanie” Alexey Anpilogov. He emphasized that it is imperative to examine the wreckage of the drone that fell into the Black Sea.

“This UAV contains quite a number of innovations that we are not fully aware of – these are composite body materials and control systems, as well as electronics, software, optics, etc. So, the MQ-9 Reaper has a lot to be received, even in the form of a damaged copy of parts that are very important and interesting to experts, it is very nice to receive them.”

He added that for Russian experts, there will be practical knowledge, not theoretical knowledge. Anpilogov summarized that representatives of the domestic military-industrial complex will be able to understand what and how imports will replace in order to obtain their own high-quality unmanned aerial vehicles.

Previous edition of ForPost reportedExperts of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that on the day of the incident, on March 14, they found a crashed American MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle in the Black Sea.
